Seed Funding Submission Deadline Friday
The Vice Provost for Research and Economic Development is offering $25,000 to fund research, scholarly and/or creative activity in the arts and humanities. Tenured and tenure-track faculty are eligible. The deadline to submit a proposal is 5 p.m. this Friday, March 17. Please let Dean Allen know if you are interested in pursuing this funding. Details attached.
Ideas Wanted: Garland County Library Info Exchange
The Garland County Library is seeking input on what types of training sessions university employees would find appealing for their upcoming Info Exchange. Please email Kim Hillison with your ideas for a presentation, a presenter or a topic. The Info Exchange will be held from 8:30 – 5 May 19, and the cost is $40.
New Print Station
A new print station will be installed over Spring Break in the current print area. There will also be new waste bins like the one at the West entrance and a storage cabinet to match the station.
ACRL Webinar March 16
A 60-minute ACRL/Choice webinar will be available for viewing Thursday, March 16 at 1 p.m. in the Weare Conference Room (486).
Accessing CRL Collections Webinar
On March 29 from 2-3 p.m., the Center for Research Libraries will host the webinar “Accessing CRL Collections.” Topics include CRL collection strengths, tips on discovering CRL holdings, best ways to access CRL collections, demand purchase, eResources, Global Resources partnerships, and promoting CRL to your patrons. Those interested in participating may register online.
Legislative Forum
A legislative forum will be held this Friday, March 17 from 4-5 p.m. at 123 W. Mountain St. in Fayetteville. For more information, email Taylor Allen Shelton.
