As part of the Traveler Program, The Arkansas State Library has added a number of new ProQuest resources that can be accessed from any library in Arkansas. The Arkansas State Library Traveler Project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

ProQuest Central

Offering scholarly journal and magazine articles, newspapers, and other types of publications, ProQuest Central brings together 30 of ProQuest’s most highly used databases. Includes content from ABI/INFORM Complete; Accounting & Tax Periodicals; Banking Information Source; Canadian Newsstand Complete; Career and Technical Education; CBCA Complete; Hoover’s Company Records; OxResearch (part of ABI/INFORM Complete); Pharmaceutical News Index; ProQuest Asian Business and Reference; ProQuest Biology Journals; ProQuest Computing; ProQuest Criminal Justice; ProQuest Education Journals; ProQuest European Business; ProQuest Family Health; ProQuest Health and Medical Complete; ProQuest Health Management; ProQuest Military Collection; ProQuest Newsstand; ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health Source; ProQuest Political Science; ProQuest Psychology Journals; ProQuest Religion; ProQuest Science Journals; ProQuest Social Science Journals; ProQuest Sociology; ProQuest Telecommunications Research Library; and Snapshot Series.

ProQuest Entrepreneurship

ProQuest Entrepreneurship brings together many types of full-text content for business researchers and students and entrepreneurs, including video clips, market research reports, start-up plans, templates, and forms, scholarly journals, business cases, working papers, conference proceedings, and dissertations. It covers subjects such as investors, business incubators, franchises, social entrepreneurship, and more.

ProQuest Environmental Science Collection

This collection contains environmental science related full-text articles, granular access to figures and tables within articles, environmental impact statements, and the entire range of bibliographic records from Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management (ESPM). Within the Environmental Science Collection are the specialized databases Aqualine, Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA), Bacteriology Abstracts, Biotechnology Research Abstracts, Ecology Abstracts, Environment Abstracts, Pollution Abstracts, Toxicology Abstracts, TOXLINE, and Water Resources Abstracts.

Ethnic NewsWatch

Ethnic NewsWatch includes newspapers, magazines, and journals of the ethnic and minority press, providing researchers access to essential, often overlooked perspectives. It includes unique community publications not found in any other database, as well as top scholarly journals on ethnicities and ethnic studies. The publications offer both national and regional coverage. Of the more than 2.5 million articles contained in the collection, nearly a quarter are presented in Spanish.

HeritageQuest Online

HeritageQuest Online is a comprehensive collection of American genealogical sources—including unique primary sources, local and family histories, convenient research guides, interactive census maps, and more. Content in HeritageQuest is drawn from these core areas: U.S. Federal Censuses, 1790-1940, genealogical and local history books and directories, Revolutionary war pension and bounty land records, Freedman’s Bank records, Congressional materials from the U.S. Serial Set, and Periodical Source Index Archive, an index to genealogical publications from 1800-2009. Note that while some content in HeritageQuest is hosted at the Ancestry.com website, this database does not include the full Ancestry.com collection.

ProQuest African American Heritage

ProQuest African American Heritage is a digital resource exclusively devoted to African American family history research. Includes marriage, birth and death records census materials, military records, WPA interviews, and Freedman’s Bank records as well as secondary publications.
