The red, black and grey logo reads "OneSearch," and underneath, "BOOKS. ARTICLES. COLLECTIONS. MORE."

OneSearch, the new University Libraries search tool, was launched July 6. Libraries personnel have created a series of brief instructional videos to help users become acquainted with the new tool and all of its enhanced features. It is recommended that the campus community begin with the video Overview of OneSearch before moving on to more specific tutorials, such as Logging into Your Library Account.

“The University Libraries have completed implementation of a new library management system and accompanying search tool, OneSearch,” said Jason Battles, dean of University Libraries. “More of our resources are now accessible in one place. We hope our instructional clips will quickly allow you to start taking advantage of the new features OneSearch provides.”

With OneSearch, users are now able to:

  • Sign in with uark.edu accounts. Those who are already signed into other campus services, such as Blackboard or Office 365 online, will also be signed into OneSearch.
  • Find books, journal articles, media, dissertations, manuscripts and digital collections in a single search.
  • Easily save, export, email or cite results in a variety of citation styles.
  • Locate multiple versions and editions of the same work.
  • Save favorite items and searches, organize favorites in folders and set up alerts for new materials matching users’ research interests.
  • Customize OneSearch by focusing results on preferred subject areas.

An FAQ page was also created by libraries personnel to assist users as they explore OneSearch. Have additional questions? Ask us!
