As the fall 2023 semester begins, the University Libraries welcome students and faculty back to campus. The Mullins Library renovation project is underway and remains on track to be completed in time for the fall 2024 semester. Levels 3 and 4 of Mullins Library are open, while Levels 1 and 2 are closed for renovation. The west entrance is open after being closed for the summer, and the east entrance remains ADA accessible. Some collections and services remain in temporary locations as progress continues.

“We’re excited about the progress that’s been made so far and can’t wait to show campus the finished result next year,” said Jason Battles, dean of libraries. “We hope to keep disruptions to a minimum as work continues throughout the fall and spring terms.”

Level 3 is a quiet floor and currently holds the Special Collections Reading Room (MULN 329), the Faculty and Graduate Student Reading Room (MULN 333) and several study rooms that can be reserved online.

Level 4 is currently home to computers, scanners and two black-and-white printers, as well as the Family Study Area (MULN 464), Help Desk, Interlibrary Loan (MULN 449), Multimedia Services (MULN 463), group study spaces and even more reservable study rooms.

Additional Tech Spot Labs are available in the Administrative Services Building, J.B. Hunt Building, Gordon Morgan Hall and the Arkansas Union. Lab and printing assistance is available by calling 479-575-8611.
