The Libraries have recently expanded our research sources for communication, speech, and rhetoric with the Communication Source database from Ebsco.

A comprehensive index for communication topics, this database incorporates the content ofCommunication Abstracts (formerly published by Sage) and Ebsco’s Communication and Mass Media Complete database, along with numerous other journals in communication, rhetoric, linguistics, mass media, speech pathology, and other closely-related fields of study to create a research and reference resource of unprecedented scope and depth. It offers cover-to-cover (“core”) indexing and abstracts for more than 1000 journals, and features full text for more than 600 journals and periodicals. Also included is backfile coverage of top titles in communication reaching deep into the 20th century. Communication Source also features a subject-specific thesaurus to help you focus your search on terminology specific to the fields of speech, rhetoric, communication, and media.

Whether you are working on your first persuasive speech or on a critical analysis of college students’ nonverbal communication styles, the Libraries have got you covered. Check out Communication Source and other databases recommended for Communication and Public Speaking today.
