Arkansas Folk and Traditional Arts will host Corrina Neal as the guest for the August session of the Arkansas Folklife Web Series, set for 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. Neal will discuss her counseling career, heritage scholarship, dream interpretation and holistic healing with series host Lauren Willette. This event is free and open to the public, and registration is required.

“I look forward to speaking with Corrina about her history with spiritual folk arts and how she connects this practice with her studies of heritage and culture,” Willette said.

Neal is a heritage studies Ph.D. candidate working as a graduate assistant with the group The Arkansisters Project: A Delta Initiative for the Heritage, Health, and Human Rights of Women and Girls. She has over 15 years of experience in chemical use, mental health and holistic counseling, and empowerment coaching. Neal’s research interests include women’s studies and culture, Black studies, mysticism, writing and music.
