The moment you’ve been anticipating – or dreading – throughout your career at the U of A has arrived. It’s time to start your thesis or dissertation. Maybe you know exactly what your mentor expects. Maybe you have already developed your project and mapped out how you will write it up. If so, congratulations!

But maybe you’re saying to yourself: I have no idea what counts as a project. I’ve never even seen a finished thesis or dissertation. And I want my mentor to think I know what I’m doing.

If you’re in this situation, what you need are examples. Fortunately, thousands of students have made their successful theses and dissertations freely available online in ScholarWorks@UARK. Check out the collections of Honors theses and graduate theses and dissertations. You can browse your own department or – to really impress your mentor – look for the work by their own former students.

We’ve created this short instructional video for browsing ScholarWorks@UARK. The Scholarly Communications team would also be happy to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Contact us at scholar@uark.edu.

Our goal is to help you reach yours!
