Access Science is an online resource that contains reference material in all scientific disciplines. It is the online version of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology. There are more than 8,500 articles covering a wide range of topics. According to the Access Science website, it provides searchable access to the full text of the Encyclopedia, including recent research developments, biographies, data, tables, news references and illustrations.

I have always liked science but I never felt like I fit in in one particular science class. I can go on Access Science and find news about things like colony collapse disorder in bees or the effect music has on the brain. This database helps students in math and science majors with their work by providing so many articles and videos for them. There’s everything from math formulas for velocity and acceleration to articles about ocean currents.

But Access Science isn’t just for math and science majors! There are biographies on famous scientists and presidents that can be cited in English classes, and the database can supplement learning for students taking math and science classes who aren’t math or science majors.
