The University Libraries have entered into a read and publish agreement that allows U of A researchers to publish in a selection of Springer Nature journals without paying an article processing charge. Springer Nature publishes articles on the subjects of science, technology, medicine and social sciences.

Any faculty, staff, postdoc or student affiliated with the U of A’s flagship location in Fayetteville who serves as the corresponding author is eligible for this program. The article must be published as open access.

“My library colleagues and I are excited about this opportunity to disseminate U of A research without charge to readers or to authors,” said Melody Herr, scholarly communications librarian. “Through the consortium Lyrasis, which negotiated the agreement with Springer Nature, we are uniting with 120 other libraries who share this goal.”

The U of A is committed to disseminating its research and scholarship as widely as possible.
