Margie Raimondo is the owner and founder of Urbana Farmstead in Little Rock, offering catered dinners, a farm market and classes in canning, gardening and more. She will speak in the next installation of the Arkansas Folklife Web Series, set for 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19. The webinar is free and open to the public, and registration is required.
Raimondo ensures that Urbana Farmstead is committed to growing, preserving and consuming the freshest herbs and produce available while cultivating a strong sense of community through garden-based learning opportunities throughout the year.
The team at Urbana Farmstead is passionate about protecting the land and water they rely on. They use only sustainable farming practices to protect the soil for generations and avoid harmful herbicides and pesticides. Their farm market offers a wide range of fresh, seasonal fruits, vegetables, herbs and artisan foods. Raimondo’s book Mangiamo: Mediterranean Family Recipes was published in 2022.
