They’re here! The movers will be bringing their equipment to Mullins Library this Sunday, June 10. They will begin moving starting on levels 1 and 3.
In Transit Options
The move of materials to the new high-density facility will begin soon. As the movers work on a section of the collections, the entire section will be labeled “In Transit” to indicate that items may be inaccessible for a short while. Even items staying in Mullins Library will be put “In Transit” as the area is shifted.
Find a book you need that is marked “In Transit?” We can borrow it for you from another library with the Interlibrary Loan service (ILLiad). ILL is fast, convenient, and free to you. Most items will be delivered to the main service desk within 5 working days; articles and chapters delivered electronically can take as little as a few hours. See our help videos on using ILLIad for more information.
In the library catalog, click the button for In Transit? Request on ILL to borrow the entire volume. You can also Request an Article Scan or Request a Chapter Scan if you need only a few pages from the item.
Don’t forget – you can still browse ALL the shelves, virtually! While searching in the library catalog, you may see a Browse button next to an item.
This new Browse Tool beta allows you to explore our libraries’ collections by call number, as if browsing one virtual shelf of both print titles and e-books.
This is a work in progress, and we’d appreciate any feedback. Read more about the new Browse Tool in our FAQs.
