Level 4
Movers are now working on Level 4, in the call number ranges T-Z and R-S, with a few Qs, as well.
These are the call number areas for medicine, science, and technology. A few ebook collections worth exploring in this area:
Knovel provides a searchable database of more than 2,500 handbooks and reference sources in science and engineering, complete with equation templates, a physical properties search, unit converters, and more tools.
R2 Digital Library offers a collection of nursing and medical texts from Rittenhouse and other publishers and includes all kinds of health sciences topics, such as athletic training and sports medicine, health administration, nursing theory and research, and community health.
The Libraries have purchased more than 1,000 individual titles from Wiley. Many of these titles are in series on higher education topics, but you will also find here titles on medical imaging, genetics, and computer science.
The Libraries also have a small but growing collection of book titles on ScienceDirect, including titles on circuitry and electronics and reference works on food science.
Don’t forget! Our multidisciplinary ebook collections from ProQuest Ebooks include thousands of titles on topics such as environmental engineering, construction, nursing, and agriculture.
Audio and Video
Last week, cabinets of audio and video recordings, microfilms and microfiche, government documents and maps were moved to the new storage facility. We ask for your patience as our website and catalog catch up to these new locations and procedures for retrieval. In the meantime, check out the hundreds of thousands of items you can listen to and watch online from our various streaming services, including Kanopy video, Met Opera on Demand, Music Online, and Naxos Music Library.
Music LPs are also moving this week. This will affect the Performing Arts & Media department as materials are moved through it to Room 104.
