Libraries’ Special Collections Division Offers Extended Hours on Wednesdays
The Special Collections Reading Room is now open by appointment from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Libraries to Receive $25,000 Grant from National Endowment for the Arts
The University of Arkansas Libraries have been approved for a $25,000 grant through the Grants for Arts Projects, which will support Arkansas Folk and Traditional Arts’ Community Scholars Program.

Pam Setser, Sage Holland, Bayard Blaine and Marisa Cook have been selected to participate in the Arkansas Folk and Traditional Arts’ statewide apprenticeship program, which is currently in its third year.
‘Americans and the Holocaust’ Speaker Event Tonight at Public Library
The final event for the ‘Americans and the Holocaust’ exhibition will be Through My Grandmother’s Eyes: The Veit Simon Family During the Holocaust, set for 6 p.m. tonight, Dec. 7, at the Fayetteville Public Library’s Willard and Pat Walker Community Room.
Additional Florence Price Materials Now Available in Libraries Special Collections Division
This collection contains sheet music created and collected by Price, a memo book, course notes and a course notebook that belonged to Price, 13 family photographs and a manuscript draft of a novel by her father.

The public is invited to ‘Prelude to War: A Film Screening & Discussion,’ set for 7 p.m. today at the Pryor Center on the downtown Fayetteville square. Professor Frank Scheide will lead a discussion afterward.
Opening Reception for ‘Americans and the Holocaust’ Exhibit Set for Nov. 10
Mullins Library, the centerpiece of the University of Arkansas Libraries, is one of 50 U.S. libraries that have been selected to host ‘Americans and the Holocaust,’ a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum that examines the motives, pressures and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s.
