Data Dabbling: Recommending Data Repositories 

July 23, 2-3 p.m., MULN 102

Curious about how to recommend the best data repository to a colleague, friend or loved one? This workshop is a crash-course on what to look for when identifying a potentially great data repository as well as an introduction to tools for finding super subject-specific data repositories.

 

No registration needed.

 

Data Dabbling is intended to be series of hands-on informal explorations of data topics designed for self-growth, fun, and greater familiarity and comfort with data topics.  Your suggestions of future topics are welcomed!

Save the Dates: Help-a-Hog

As always, Help-a-Hog will be the first two days of the semester; this year that means August 26th and 27th.  Specifics on times and volunteer signup sheet will come out closer to the event, but for now, interested volunteers may want to note the dates on their calendar!

Greetings colleagues! A big thank you goes out to everyone who helped make last Monday afternoon’s visitor tour amazing. Everyone involved did such a great job to make our visitors feel welcomed and special; they left impressed and enthused about University Libraries.

 

Christina Rhoades, Kelvin Summerville, Katherine Williams, Sara Watson, and Vallee Salamon—thank you for being such great sports and showing hospitality when we dropped in to Digital Services and LINX!
