The Databases are Moving! The Databases are Moving!
On August 1st… we’ll have a new dean… and a new A-Z list for our databases. Our current system has reached voting age – it’s 18 years old! So it’s past time to move to a more streamlined interface that is easier to maintain and more integrated with other library offerings.
The new home page for the A-Z database list will be https://uark.libguides.com/az.php. That’s right – it’s a part of the LibGuides system. It will better leverage the resource records we maintain in Sierra and reduce the number of places that links and information has to be kept up to date.
We are still building and tweaking the new system – and will continue to do so after launch – so please send your comments, suggestions, and corrections to libweb@uark.edu.
Save the Dates: Help-a-Hog
As always, Help-a-Hog will be the first two days of the semester; this year that means August 26th and 27th. Specifics on times and volunteer signup sheet will come out closer to the event, but for now, interested volunteers may want to note the dates on their calendar!
