OER Partners Workshop Sept. 24
The partners workshop is for anyone who interfaces with teaching faculty and can support or encourage the adoption of open textbooks. This includes librarians, instructional designers, educational technologists, bookstore staff and student success advocates. Attendees will gain familiarity with open resources and current OER initiatives, practice addressing commonly asked questions about OER and discus paths for integrating current workflows with OER efforts. This is an open opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about OER to attend. Please register here, and be sure to pass the info along to anyone you know who may be interested. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Scholarly Communications Task Force – Feedback Requested
The Scholarly Communications Task Force of the University Libraries welcomes your feedback on proposed revisions for the University of Arkansas Open Access Policy and the proposed Value Statement for the University Libraries. We will hold a public forum for all library personnel on 20 September 2019, from 10 AM until 11 AM, in Mullins 104. If you are not able to attend the forum or if you would prefer to leave your comments anonymously, please complete this Qualtrics survey [https://uark.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1XI00c7lBDrTebr] no later than 5 PM on 25 September 2019. You will find these two documents embedded within the survey.
The Task Force will submit the comments gathered during this forum and from this survey to the University Libraries Administration Group. Thank you for providing feedback.
Fort Smith Art Exhibit
An exhibit with art by Norma Tomboulian – our own Necia Parker-Gibson’s mother – is on display in the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum through December 29.
