Amigos Online Conference
The Amigos online conference Healthy Habits – Cultivating a Culture of Health and Wellness in Libraries and Communities will be offered Thursday, October 10, from 10:00 to 4:00 in Room 302B.  Everyone is welcome. Scholarly Communications Task Force – Feedback Requested
The Scholarly Communications Task Force of the University Libraries welcomes your feedback on proposed revisions for the University of Arkansas Open Access Policy and the proposed Value Statement for the University Libraries. If you were not able to attend the forum or if you would prefer to leave your comments anonymously, please complete this Qualtrics survey [https://uark.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1XI00c7lBDrTebr] no later than 5 PM tomorrow, 25 September 2019. You will find these two documents embedded within the survey.

The Task Force will submit the comments gathered during this forum and from this survey to the University Libraries Administration Group.  Thank you for providing feedback.

 
CONTENTdm Upgrades
The new CONTENTdm responsive design platform used for displaying our digital collections continues upgrading the system. There will be another set of upgrades for Thursday, September 26.  Those improvements include:

  • Enhanced searching of compound objects by showing all pages by default and provides a toggle to filter search results
  • Automatically generated IIIF Presentation manifests for Monograph compound objects
  • More efficient building of IIIF collection-level manifests for extremely large collections
  • New customization recipes in the CONTENTdm Cookbook, like a PDF download button and Twitter Follow button
  • Easier access for downloading and viewing the code for all CONTENTdm Cookbook recipes through a new web portal
  • Corrected thumbnail preview when sharing to social media
