Help-A-Hog

Help-A-Hog is a program put on by New Student & Family Programs on the first and second day of classes each semester.  In the past, tables would be placed throughout campus and faculty and staff volunteers would answer questions and help direct lost students. This semester, New Student & Family Programs is moving this program online. They have mobilized their office phone number to allow students to text in questions and receive a real-time response.  They are asking that campus organizations (like the Libraries) to provide volunteers to staff a channel on Slack (an online chatting tool) in order to quickly answer questions related to that office.  For our part, we still plan to set up a table in the West Lobby of Mullins to answer questions in person.  Additionally, we will have a laptop set up and logged into Slack to answer questions coming in remotely.  If you would like to help out lost hogs at the start of the spring semester, please use this link to claim your shift(s)!  Please let Kathleen Lehman (kalehman@uark.edu) know if you have any questions. Thank you!
