Invitation: Open Education Week Planning Meeting
The plans for Open Education Week (March 27-31) are taking shape! We need your help to make the week of success, so please join us at the next Open Access Group meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 3 p.m. in Mullins 486. So far, our plans include:

  • A poll to discover what students currently pay for textbooks
  • Training sessions for instructors on technical tools for using open education resources
  • Publicity of all sorts, including blogs, tweets, Facebook posts and podcasts
  • Live chat among faculty, staff and students on the most effective types of material, relative costs for materials, and access to print and online materials

During the Jan. 31 meeting, we will share ideas for recruiting participants for the live chat, the blogs, tweets, posts, and podcasts. We will also make a list of questions and discussion topics for these activities. Please come. Your ideas are welcome!
