Need help with your research? Not sure where to get started? The Razorback Researcher seminar series is for you! Hosted by the University Libraries, this series of virtual, in-person and hybrid seminars will explore research basics, how to efficiently use specific resources, citation management and more. All sessions are offered at no cost to attendees.
Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity
The first session, Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity, is set for 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 in MULN 439. A second session will be held from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5.
Library 101
All are welcome to attend Library 101 to learn about library locations and services, including course reserves, computing and printing, My Library Account, remote access, subject librarians, research guides, study rooms, instructional videos, Special Collections, Interlibrary Loan, Ask Us, FAQs, search basics and more. The first session is set for 5-6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, in MULN 439. An additional session will be offered at the same time, in the same location on Monday, Feb. 19.
Research Poster Basics: Everything You Need to Know to Get Started
Are you a first time researcher interested in showcasing your work? A research poster can be a great way to dip your toe into the world of research and to gain experience with presenting. This session will cover everything you need to know about research posters, from the application process to the day of the event. A virtual session is set for 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, and an in-person session will be held from 1-2 p.m. Monday, March 11, in MULN 439. All are welcome to attend.
Lit Reviews in Research
Learn the basics about the different types of literature reviews, their methods and their place in research with Lit Reviews in Research. The first session is set for 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in MULN 439. Another session will be offered Friday, April 12, with a final session set for Friday, April 19.
OneSearch Basics
OneSearch is the main portal for discovering the resources available to you through the University of Arkansas Libraries. All sessions of OneSearch Basics will be offered from 5-6 p.m. on Mondays, both in person in MULN 439 and online, and will teach undergraduate students about the key features of OneSearch and help you to find books, articles and any other resources you may need more quickly and easily. The first session is set for Feb. 12, with additional sessions offered Feb. 26, March 11, March 25 and April 8.
Getting the Most out of Google Scholar
Learn effective search techniques and everything you need to know to find trustworthy, relevant resources. An in-person session will be offered from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, in MULN 439, and a virtual session is set for 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13. All are welcome to attend.
Zotero for Citation Management
Zotero is a free program that allows you to collect, organize, and cite research publications as you write. Zotero is also a robust platform for taking notes, managing quotes and more. These online sessions are set for 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20; 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21; 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21; and 12:30-1:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22.

A session for graduate students on library resources and research will be offered from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 online and from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in MULN 439.
Tips for Note-Taking
Effective, efficient note-taking can support referencing, learning and retaining information. This workshop, set for 1-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 in MULN 439, will explore both analog and digital tools for taking notes from class lectures and reading materials and help you connect with methods that work best for you.
OneSearch: Finding Books & Articles
This workshop, set for 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29 in MULN 439, will teach you about the key features of OneSearch and help you to quickly and easily find books, articles, and more.
Introduction to Bibliographic Citation Manager: EndNoteWeb Online
Do you have to cite sources for your paper, your thesis or dissertation? In this online workshop, you will learn how to manage your citations using EndNoteWeb citation manager. The first session is set for 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, and a second session will be held from 2-3 p.m. Monday, April 22.
Getting Started with Grey Literature
Grey literature is information produced outside of traditional publishing and distribution channels. This workshop will cover the definition of grey literature, places to find it and its role in searching and research. The first session is set for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 online, and a second session will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in MULN 439.
