Now you can consult tables, conversion tools, and engineering data from the Knovel database while working in MS Excel. Installing the Knovel add-in for MS Excel is easy and takes just a few steps.
- First, make sure that you have created a My Knovel account when connected to the Knovel database. A My Knovel account will allow you:
- to save searches and sources that you consult frequently
- to set up search alerts to be notified when new items are added based on your search criteria
- to download a Knovel Mobile App for reading on the go
- Then, visit this blog post or navigate directly to http://app.knovel.com/web/installs/KnovelExcelAddin_Install.exe to download the add-in for Excel.
- The first time you launch the add-on, you will be prompted to log in with your My Knovel credentials.
Once installed, you can click on the Knovel tab in Excel to make use of tools such as the Unit Converter, Data Search, or a full-text search across the Libraries’ subscribed sections.
