Library Catalog Search page

Over the winter break, the Library Catalog was updated to work even better on your phone and on the go.  Now, you can perform any type of search on your mobile device—including author, title, subject, course reserves, or ISSN—in addition to simple keyword searches.  Special search tools let you focus your search on formats such as theses and dissertations, audio, video, and e-books or e-journals.

Library Catalog Functions

While browsing search results, you can mark and save multiple records to export to your email or to a citation manager program such as RefWorks or EndNote.  The detailed view of a book or other item allows you to send a text message about the location and call number to your phone, format a citation in APA, MLA, or another style, locate the book with the Map it! button, and find related journal articles, encyclopedia entries, or copies in nearby libraries with Find More!

My Library Account

Log into My Library Account to view or renew your current checkouts, to see requests you have placed to have items pulled and held for you, to keep track of your reading history, to save lists of the titles you want to read next, and to set up email alerts so that you can be notified of new items matching your search criteria.  More about Your Library Account…

What’s in the Library Catalog?

The University of Arkansas Libraries’ catalog offers access to online resources as well as materials from the following libraries:

  • David W. Mullins Library, including Special Collections, Performing Arts and Media, and Gov
  • Chemistry and Biochemistry Library
  • Fine Arts Library
  • Physics Library
  • Robert A. and Vivian Young Law Library
  • Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art Library

The catalog contains records for: books, journals, magazines, newspapers, microforms, electronic resources, audio and video recordings, music scores, most government documents and maps, and a portion of the Libraries’ manuscript collections. You will also find information about print and audio / video course reserves by course name or instructor name.

What’s Not in the Library Catalog?

Unlike article databases from Ebsco, ProQuest, the Web of Science, or others, the catalog does not generally contain individual journal, newspaper, or magazine articles.  Use article databases to locate articles in journals, newspapers, or other periodicals.
