Monday, September 19th marks International Talk Like a Pirate Day, a holiday we at the University Libraries take to hearrrrrrt. Any excuse to jabber in fine pirate fashion thanks to lessons from Mango Languages.
The Libraries provide the bounty o’ Mango Languages to the entire campus but the Learn Pirate lessons are free to all. Because you never know when you might need to hold a parley. Arrrrr.
In this course, you’ll savvy all the lingo you need to sail the bounding main, including sections on:
- Call Someone Names (“bilge rat”)
- Express Surprise (“blow me down”)
- Give Sailing Commands (“belay yer carousin’ and haul wind smartly!”)
