Shout Out (n.) informal. A message of support, appreciation or congratulation.

The Libraries give a shout out to all of the parents juggling homeschooling and work. We see you, and you’re doing a great job! (Even if it sometimes doesn’t feel like it.)

From Lori Birrell and Melanie Griffin: On behalf of Special Collections, a huge thank you to Beth and Dylan in Web Services and Sara W., Kat W., and Kelvin at LINX for all of their work to make sure our Aeon and ArchivesSpace public user interface integration and launch went as smoothly as possible. It’s wonderful to work with such supportive partners!

From Katrina Windon: Over the past three years, Special Collections staff and students, as well as some generous volunteers from other Libraries units, have worked to convert more than 1,000 finding aids into the Encoded Archival Description (EAD) standard so that they could be imported into our archival content management system, ArchivesSpace, and made fully searchable for our patrons. A special thanks to all those who worked on this project, including Adam Heien, Todd Lewis, Heath Robinson, Amy Allen, Melanie Griffin, Lori Birrell, Cat Wallack, Deena Owens, Wendy McBride, and Michael Fondren in Special Collections; as well our colleagues from other units, Sherryl Faulkner-Robinson, Elaine Roser, Stephanie Guenther, Vallee Salamon, and Kareen Turner; and students Elysa Barton, Zach Morgan, Shana Zarnowski, Ashley Cain, Deborah Tarca, Sam Ownbey, Spencer Soule, Chris Galindo, Saylor Syfert, Rebekah Mason, Laura Iraheta, Addison Mahaffey, Lee Flowers, Ryan Flynn, Heather Young, and Drake Fitzwater.
