Power Down and Tidy Up Before You Leave for Winter Break
Please remember to power down (and unplug!) your computer and peripherals, as well as any other electronics, before leaving for break.  Winter break is also a great time to defrost departmental fridges, clean and unplug shredders and other appliances, and remove food from your drawers and cabinets. And check out this additional information from the Office of Sustainability and their “Unplug for the Holidays” campaign.

All: from opening collections, producing digital collections and exhibits, streamlining and refocusing social media content, and moving resources for maintenance and facilities upgrades, not to mention being open for 24-hour cycles and staying clean and pretty through those cycles, YOU won 2015.   • Get Involved with #1Lib1Ref for Wikipedia’s Birthday: Wikipedia is celebrating its 15th birthday on Friday, 1/15. They want to invite every librarian in the world to add one reference to any Wikipedia article during their #1Lib1Ref event. Get involved in advance of the event by visiting the
  • Razorback Transit’s Winter Break Schedule: Remember, there will be no Razorback Transit night service from now through Monday 1/18. Razorback Transit will operate a reduced schedule from 7am until 6pm today and tomorrow. Buses will not operate 12/24 through 1/4. Reduced service will be provided 7am until 6pm, 1/4-1/16, and there is no service on 1/18. More info can be found online.
