GWLA LogoThe Walton Reading Room will be closed from the afternoon of Monday, May 15th through mid-day  Thursday, May 18th while the Libraries host a meeting of the Greater Western Library Alliance (GWLA).  57 librarians representing  36 libraries ranging from Hawaii to West Virginia will be visiting our campus.

GWLA is a consortium of 36 research libraries located in the central and western United States (see Map and Member Roster). GWLA is a dynamic, effective, project-oriented consortium, nationally recognized as a leader in the transformation of scholarly communication, and a facilitator in the application of new information technologies. The meeting here in Fayetteville will be focused on collection development and resource sharing: strategies for delivering research materials to students and faculty in timely and cost-effective ways.
